Slipknot “We Are Not Your Kind Tour 2022’ landar i Sverige den 15 augusti 2022. Platsen är Malmö Arena i Malmö, festivalen är ny och heter Rock Slap. Fler artister till festivalen släpps inom de närmaste veckorna.
Slipknot släppte sitt sjätte studioalbum ”We Are Not Your Kind” i augusti 2019 som toppade topplistor i USA, Australien, Kanada, Japan, Irland, Belgien och Finland. Dessutom hade de topp 3-placeringar i Tyskland, Frankrike, Norge, Italien, Nederländerna och Nya Zeeland.
Albumet tokhyllades även i media.
“With their latest studio album, Slipknot have released one of the strongest albums in their career,” kommenterade webbtidningen Consequence of Sound. The Independent skrev: “The sheer ambition of We Are Not Your Kind is just as staggering as their seminal record Iowa – the dynamic might be even better”. Webbtidningen The Ringer: “Slipknot’s sixth album… furthers the argument that they’re the most important heavy band of their era…”, medan Kerrang! intygade: “20 years since their debut, Slipknot are as bold, fearless and exhilarating as ever”. Vulture berömde albumet: “maelstrom of serrated riffs, warlike drums, and machine-gun poetry from Taylor,” och NME uttryckte det enkelt: “The ‘Knot’s sixth album is an astonishing record.”.
